Ana sayfa / Processor

A few months ago, Qualcomm introduced its first processor for computers, the Snapdragon X Elite. Equipped with 12 Orion cores, the X Elite claims to outperform 13th generation Intel processors. In its latest announcement, Qualcomm provided a date for the release of the first computers powered by the Snapdragon X Elite.

Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon made significant statements in the first-quarter earnings report of the year. He used a notable expression for the Snapdragon X Elite, based on the Arm64 chip and powering computers. CEO Amon stated that the Snapdragon X Elite will be released in mid-2024 with the “next version of Windows.”

Qualcomm’s CEO avoided explicitly saying Windows 12. However, the phrase “next version of Windows” in the earnings report was noteworthy. This phrase is in line with rumors of Hudson Valley, which is expected to be the new major update for Windows 11.

Built on a 4nm TSMC design, the processor operates at a standard clock speed of 3.8 GHz and can be boosted up to 4.3 GHz turbo clock speed. It also includes a 42MB cache and 136 GB/s LPDDR5x memory bandwidth.

Additionally, the new version of Windows is expected to bring artificial intelligence capabilities to computers powered by the Snapdragon X Elite. Microsoft and Qualcomm are expected to collaborate to offer some computers special artificial intelligence features.

It is believed that this major Windows update will not be Windows 12. According to previous reports, Microsoft does not intend to create competition between Windows 10/11/12.
